A couple times a year, employees from Marvin and Company get together to volunteer at the Regional Food Bank of Northeastern New York. Donations come to them in all forms and need to be sorted before they distribute them. That’s where volunteers like us come in. The Regional Food Bank receives donations of non-perishable food, produce, paper products, household items, personal hygiene supplies, school supplies, clothes, diapers, and more that need to be repacked into useable, family-sized packages. Whatever is sorted when we volunteer at the Regional Food bank, our efforts help low-income families stretch their limited budgets and eat better.
This time, we volunteered at the warehouse dock. We sorted a variety of donations of non-perishable food in the Salvage Sorting Room.
