Kathy is the Marketing Manager for Marvin & Company, P.C. and has more than 14 years of experience in communications – strategic marketing, public relations, and business development. In this position, she concentrates on leading the Firm’s marketing strategy and overseeing the implementation of all communication programs. She serves as an advisor to the directors, managers, principals, and staff on how to build their practices through tactical marketing initiatives. She is responsible for managing the Firm’s social media presence, overseeing the website in collaboration with the IT department, and assisting with seminar presentations.
Kathy joined Marvin & Company, P.C. after several years as the head of the marketing department for a well-known full-service business law firm, where she managed the promotion and strategic direction of marketing activities. Prior to her in-house marketing roles, she spent more than a decade with two leading area public relations agencies, providing public relations and communications expertise to many of the Capital Region’s premier companies. She started her career in the communications field working for an agency in New York City on clients such as Swarovski North America Ltd., Universal Studios Consumer Products Group, Daniel Swarovski Paris, Vanity Fair Corporation, Malibu Rum, General Cigars, Finesse and Ponds.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from The University of Alabama, where she majored in Public Relations and minored in General Business with a concentration in Marketing and Management. She earned a full scholarship as the manager of the Women's Division I Volleyball program.
