Jim became a director at Marvin and Company in 1996. Jim has over 30 years experience in accounting, auditing and tax, specializing in construction, manufacturing, and wholesale industries, as well as school districts. Jim is also responsible for implementing computer assisted audit applications throughout the Firm's client base. Jim is also the Firm’s Director of Operations, responsible for strategic planning and Firm operations.
Jim graduated Cum Laude with a BBA degree in Accounting from Siena College in 1981. He joined Marvin upon graduation and became a shareholder and director in 1996.
Jim is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants, the Northeast Subcontractors Association, the Scotia Rotary Club and the Adirondack Mountain Club. In addition, he is the former president of the Scotia Rotary Club and is currently the treasurer of the Schenectady Salvation Army Advisory Board, and treasurer of the Hyde Collection.
