Carol Hausamann is a director of Marvin and Company. She has been managing our firm's long-term health care practice since 1986. She has been providing auditing, accounting, tax and consulting services to not-for-profit organizations and other types of organizations since 1981.
Specializing in the area of health care, Carol has experience in reimbursement review, analysis and recommendations with regard to cost containment. In addition, she provides management advisory services such as negotiating with intermediaries with regard to their audit findings, appeal preparation, certifications for construction projects, and strategic planning. She is available to present seminars on reimbursement and reporting procedures as well as to hold in-service financial management seminars, including accounting courses for program oriented staff to give them a basic understanding of accounting.
A Presidential Scholar at Siena College, Carol graduated with a BBA in Accounting in 1981. After college, she started as a staff accountant with Marvin and Company. She is a member of the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants, the American Institute of CPAs and the New York Association of Homes and Services for the Aging. Carol is a 1996 graduate of the Albany-Colonie Regional Chamber of Commerce Capital Leadership Program. She is a member of the board of directors of the Whitney M. Young Jr. Health Center, Inc.
