Jim E. Amell, CPA- Director

Jim Amell is a director in Marvin and Company's accounting and auditing department, specializing in construction, manufacturing, and wholesale industries, as well as non-for-profit organizations and school districts. Jim is also responsible for implementing computer assisted audit applications throughout the Firm's client base.

Jim graduated Cum Laude with a BBA degree in Accounting from Siena College in 1981. He joined Marvin upon graduation and was promoted to manager in 1986.

Jim is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants, the Northeast Subcontractors Association, the Scotia Rotary Club and the Adirondack Mountain Club. In addition, he is treasurer of the Scotia Rotary Club and the Schenectady Salvation Army Advisory Board.
